Since 2001, engineer Chris McNaughton has provided recording services for television, radio, and interactive mediums in the New York and Colorado advertising markets. Throughout this experience Chris continues to look for new technologies that help make the world virtually small and virtually flat. ISDN has always been reliable, but at an unreasonably high cost. Today, Source Connect's IP based recording has allowed Relay to keep costs down and quality up. With services available like Digifon, Source Connect can easily bridge with an ISDN equipped studio, making the transition to IP based recording transparent.
The remote engineering field is one that Relay is helping to develop. With personal computing taking major leaps these days, new web based software and more robust hardware are easily connecting our global community. Technologies like FTP, google wave, and IP based recording allow us to communicate, collaborate, and corroborate more efficiently and conveniently.
